The Mt Barker & Districts is a collage of interesting and diverse localities, boasting nearness to Adelaide Central Business District, white sandy beaches and internationally significant wine growing areas are just a few 'off the cuff' attractions. Adelaide Hills boutique wineries Southern Vales, Langhorne Creek and the Barossa Valley boutique wineries are all within easy access of Mt Barker. Also, museums, art galleries, historical homesteads, market gardens and orchards, Strathalbyn with its strong Scottish heritage. Hahndorf & Lobethal with their remarkable German charm. The undulating hills of the Mt Lofty Ranges (often referred to as the Adelaide Hills), graced with the magnificent red gum eucalypts and many varieties of other native and exotic flora and of course kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, emus, galahs and magpies.

We are situated near Lake Alexandrina and the mouth of the longest river in Australia the River Murray at 2,375 kilometres (1,476 mi) in length. Agriculture and mining have, for many years, and contribute to the diversity of these districts.
