- The Macleay Valley beaches visiting South West Rocks, Hat Head and Crescent Head allowing time to swim, visit local attractions and whale watching during migration season.
- Kempsey town and nearby villages where attractions include an Aboriginal art gallery, two local galleries, town and maritime museums, arts and crafts shops, our own Bucket Brewery, the Slim Dusty Centre, Trial Bay Gaol ruins, bird-watching and relaxing sporting pursuits (if interested) such as golf (with free kangaroo spotting), bare-foot lawn bowls and ocean and river swimming.
- Nambucca Valley (to the north) to visit an operational Lemon Myrtle farm, the legendary Pub with no Beer, a rain forest walk, and more local beaches.
- Hastings Valley (to our south) where attractions include the seaside regional city of Port Macquarie, Sea Acres rain forest walk, Billabong Zoo featuring Australian native wildlife, a Koala Hospital, wineries and craft beer breweries, Koala sculptures trail, shopping malls, a large Arts and Entertainment Centre, river cruises and more coastal walks, swimming and whale watching.
