The Friendship Force of Kempsey Club was founded in October 1987 with membership consistently between 30 and 40 members over the last 36 years.  Most members live in or within close proximity to the town of Kempsey which minimises the amount of travel required when ambassadors participate in an inbound Kempsey journey.  Some planned events, however, do involve a little more drive time when we visit equally appealing attractions in neighbouring valleys to our north and south.  The Club’s hosting capacity is about 14 ambassadors, but can vary depending upon the mix of couples and singles.  We participate in inbound and outbound domestic and international journeys each year and welcome other clubs to join in on any journeys where there are vacancies.  Most months of the year are suitable for inbound journeys but the Kempsey Club tries to avoid December and January owing to the Christmas holidays and family commitments of our members.

The Journeys

We organise group outings during the week, usually by bus, which include local culture, scenery, flora, fauna, some of our unique wildlife and food. Thus allowing our visitors to enjoy every aspect or our lovely region. We have an evening welcoming and - or farewell function which allows hosts, non hosting members and ambassadors to interact together. Weekends are free time with hosts and their families.
