Members of the Friendship force of Tamworth welcome you to our country and our homes. We enjoy making 'Friends Around The World'.

Club details and a bit of our history.

The Tamworth Branch of Friendship Force was formed in 1989 and currently has 40 members.

The Club established a reputation for our interesting programs showing the people, scenery and wildlife of an inland region of Australia. In the early days many of our members were working but enjoyed hosting overseas visitors. In recent years more of our members have retired and therefore more have taken the opportunity to be Ambassadors on our overseas journeys (alias exchanges). And we hosted a very successful National Conference in Tamworth in 2011.

We have entertained Ambassadors from FF Clubs from USA, Canada, Russia, Chile, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Germany and Canada. And our members have participated in journeys (alias exchanges) to England, USA, Canada, Germany, China, Japan, Indonesia, Costa Rica and Mexico as well as some Global Exchanges to Vietnam and Myanmar.

We are planning an inbound Global Journey of our own in January 2015 to eastern Australian cities (Sydney, Newcastle and Tamworth) with the theme of Water, Wine & Country Music. The Journey will include the Tamworth Country Music Festival, the largest festival of country music in the Southern Hemisphere.

The number of Ambassadors we can host is 30.
