hamilton-3On Tuesday 11 September, we welcomed 15 ambassadors from the Western Waikato and Hamilton Friendship Force clubs. They had previously had a week with the Adelaide club.

The first night was a getting to know our new friends, some at home others joined with other hosts.

Wednesday morning was the start of a busy week, from Radio, television, local paper interviews, Mayoral reception, to planting a rose bush in the Friendship Force garden at the Civic Centre not a bad mornings work.

For the rest of the week we went from Millicent to Dartmoor in Victoria, Port MacDonnell, to Penola and all places in between. We visited members homes built in the late 1890s to early 1900s. We ate pizza in the park fish and chips near the beach to a beautiful lunch at the Penola Hotel. When in Penola we visited the Yallum Park Homestead the best preserved Victorian Home in Australia in its original condition. Tasted wine at wineries at Coonawarra.

Our journey (alias exchange) finished with a Pot Luck tea at one of our members homes on Monday night.
