Karsiyaka - Turkey 2010

Karsiyaka Bay, Turkey to Brisbane, Bundaberg and Christchurch, NZ

10 Ambassadors due to arrive on Qantas flight from Auckland to Brisbane at 5.40pm on April 1st 2010 for seven days departing by bus to Bundaberg on the 7th April 2010.

Day 1 - Thursday 1st

Meet ambassadors at International Airport at 5:40pm

Day 2 - Friday 2nd

Welcome morning tea at the park outside Lone Pine at 10:00am. Visitors can then go into the venue. Those who wish can then go to Mt Coot-tha and the lookout.

Day 3 - Saturday 3rd

Trip to Tambourine, meeting at Yatla Pies,then to the small Rainforest Walk at the end of the gallery walk. Ambassadors can then have lunch and return home with hosts.

Day 4 - Sunday 4th

This day is free with hosts.

Day 5 - Monday 5th

Bus Trip Outing for Ambassadors & FF Members

Our big country trip will be a bus from Ruth Southgate's home to Gatton through the ranges to an area called PILTON, where they have the Darling Downs Zoo, I had hoped to go there but the only thing they don't have is Koala's due to not being able to have the trees for them.

We will cross the New England Highway and go to Clifton and then down to Nobby where we will have Lunch. There is so much history there Dad and Dave, On the Selection etc were written, the have a resident poet and a pianist who we hope will be there but due to it being Easter the hotel is checking for us if they will be in town. The meal is fabulous. $21.50 for main meal, dessert and tea and coffee.

From there we will go to Toowoomba and go to the lookout at picnic point and home, I can't give a bus price until I know numbers coming and the size of the bus we will need. I guess between $25 and $30. Sure hope you can join us on this day.

Day 6 - Tuesday 6th

Free day with hosts, then farewell dinner on the Wynnum Esplanade in front of the wading pool, then onto "My Secret Garden", 20 Earl Parade, Manly for tea and coffee and farewell speeches and a singalong with the pianola.

Day 7 - Wednesday 7th

Ambassadors depart to Bundaberg by bus.
