Nineteen ambassadors gathered in Winnipeg, Manitoba on 18th September for this exciting journey (alias exchange), where we all enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Delta Hotel, prior to travelling to Brandon the next day. Three clubs were represented- Blue Mountains, Sunshine Coast and Melbourne. The dinner provided the Blue Mountains members with a good opportunity to meet their fellow travelers from the other clubs, and from the start, the ambassadors melded together as one group.
Brandon, our first destination, was a regional city in Manitoba situated about 100klms from the USA border with North Dakota. All enjoyed the varied programme with a Waffle picnic by the banks of a river, accessed on the back of a Ute, clearly a favourite with everyone.
Niagara Club provided a very different programme, but equally varied and relaxed. We were welcomed with a Thanksgiving dinner, enjoyed a great tour of the Welland Canal and were treated to some wonderful dinners at various members' homes.
Our week in Southern New Jersey was a marathon event, but great friendships were made. The Longwood Gardens were spectacular and everyone enjoyed the trip to the Jersey Shore, where some of us climbed to the top of a lighthouse, which gave spectacular views of the surrounding area.
An journey of contrasts, with a happy group of ambassadors was much enjoyed by all.
